Driving Cultural Change

 

This well-established but small public company had made a number of acquisitions. The CEO engaged Duet Consulting to work with him on the “people side of the business”, in particular identifying talent and development needs, as well as strategies to decide and cascade the new company values and culture.

Stage One of the work was to ask all staff to engage in our Profiling process, and to gain informed consent from each participant to share the results with the team, the manager, and the organisation. This was an opportunity to get to know all staff and resulted in some immediate actions around organisation structure, retention, professional and personal development, and stress management.

Stage Two involved a series of workshops designed to enhance teamwork, the sharing of individual Profiles, and “bringing the values to life” across the company.

The outcomes included:

• The establishment of a common understanding of the behaviours underpinning the culture
  going forward,
• Integration and alignment of the various businesses acquired,
• Improved selection and performance management, and
• New opportunities for the staff in light of the enhanced awareness of their capacities
  and career needs.
