Profile of RUSSELL NEWMAN
Russell’s coaching and consulting are based on some thirty years experience across private and public sectors - in general management and human resources / organisational development management roles embracing health, IT, finance, manufacturing, consulting and sporting industries. He began his career in public hospitals in finance, HR and general management functions, before transitioning to the private sector - Westpac, DMR Group, McDonnell Douglas Information Systems and Victorian Hospitals’ Association.
Having Post-Graduate qualifications in Organisational Behaviour, he began Nhuman Resources Pty Ltd in 1993 as a strategic organisational improvement, coaching, change and human resources management practice. For almost 10 years, Russell has been a sessional Post-Graduate tutor at Swinburne University’s Australian Institute of Management/Entrepreneurship. His areas of teaching expertise are primarily in Strategic Change and Process Consultation. He is also a qualified Executive Coach.
He is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute, a Member of the Australian Institute of Management and Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Professional Member of the Australian Association of Career Counsellors.
Russell’s professional passions embrace constructively challenging leaders to bring out the best in themselves and their people in the pursuit of goals that will make a positive difference.
On a personal level, Volleyball has been a major interest for Russell, having been an international player, national Board Vice-President and state President. Love of family, sport, the arts and travel are among his personal passions.
Profile of LINDA SMITH
Linda has post-graduate Management and Executive Coaching qualifications after originally qualifying as a Social Worker. She has over twenty years experience working in both public and private sector organisations. In 2003 she became a Director of Nhuman Resources Pty Ltd, now Duet Consulting.
Linda worked for eight years with the Victorian Education Department where she gained invaluable skills in counselling, training and team dynamics. She then transitioned into senior Learning and Development positions at the Environment Protection Authority, Attorney General’s Department and Ansett Airlines.
Linda has held senior Organisational Development and generalist Human Resource Management roles and has substantial experience leading cultural and organisation change projects at Kodak, New Clicks Holdings (Priceline) and Cadbury Schweppes. She has extensive experience facilitating leadership development programs in those organisations.
Linda’s passion is working with people to bring out the best in themselves and others. Her areas of specialisation are organisational / cultural change, coaching, recruitment, career development, leadership development, and generalist HR consulting.
