Duet Consulting was initially commissioned by the CEO to undertake a review of the organisation’s Human Resources practices and recommend an approach that would underpin and integrate HR activities to support a leading-edge cultural change and growth strategy into the future. The ensuing report recommended a number of key strategies such as elevation of HR to Executive level; a greater cultural and Organisational Development emphasis; a change of HR structure across the organisation; devolution of HR operational activities to line management; and an overall realignment of HR operational programs.
Duet Consulting has since been involved in:
- executive and divisional team building
- individual Profiling and feedback processes to build awareness and develop potential
- recruitment support and structured processes for key positions
- job design and objective job Profiling
- executive coaching
- change management advice and facilitation.
The outcomes over two years have included:
- executive restructure, refocus and rejuvenation;
- constructively challenged some major “sacred cows” blocking the Board’s strategic intent;
- creation of a “People & Culture” function into which Duet Consulting recruited an outstanding corporate identity;
- enabled retention of all key executives despite uncompetitive remuneration.
Duet is continuing to work alongside the CEO and his other consultants towards the longer-term achievement of the strategic vision of the Board.
